The original aluminum front sealing blocks are prone to warping in two planes due to inadequate stiffness.  Additionally, the threads tend to strip easily with repeated tightening or over-tightening.  The solution is a upgrade to a much stiffer steel unit, that not only will not warp but will also have much more durable threads.

A bonus with our steel sealing block is that it clears our upgraded main cap bolt kit without modification (other steel sealing blocks require grinding to remove material when the engine is fitted with upgraded main cap bolts).
