$699.95 One of Richard Good's finest products, these CV jointed rear axles with uprated hubs solve a multitude of durability and safety issues that plague the original TR IRS rear axle and hub design. The original sliding spline rear axles can bind under load, or with the suspension in compression, with the splines releasing instantaneously. In terms of durability, universal joints can not begin to approach the efficiency or durability of CV joints. It is not uncommon to replace u-joints on a performance TR6 every 20,000miles. Most CV axles have service intervals four times longer. The original rear hub design is flawed in that it can fail, without warning in service, often resulting in one of your rear wheels rolling past you down the road. The GoodParts hub design is a much more modern arrangement, totally eliminating the failure that was typical of the original hub design.
